In the Bible we see God do stuff that foretells what is going to happen, one of those cases is in Exodus 17

Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Exodus 17:6 NASB

The rock represents Jesus getting struck once for ALL of us and our sin, the water represents Jesus’ blood poured out for ALL of us and washing away ALL of our sin.

It is comforting to know that no matter how hard the circumstance is that I am in, God as control and it will work together.

Sunday Devotional (33)

I have had trouble understanding parables, prophecies and some of Psalms and Proverbs but something that seems more simple than those I never really understood and that is the Lord’s prayer. It’s really simple but what does it actually mean? This is how someone told me what it meant:

“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven,

By doing this we recognizing our relationship with him.

Hallowed be Your name.

We are giving God the respect He deserves.

‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.

We are putting God’s will before ours.

‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

We are asking God to forgive us and are saying that we have forgiven those who have wronged us.

‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

We are asking God to protect us from Satan and to save us from Satan’s wrongs.

[ For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’ ]

We are letting God know that we know who He is.

Matthew 6:9‭-‬10‭, ‬12‭-‬13 NASB

Daniel also prayed in this way (Daniel 9) and he was a prayer Warrior.

I pray that this has help you understand the Lord’s Prayer better like it has me.

Mini Figure Scenario!

I love mini figures!

I’m always collecting more, I have a shelf that I keep them on, I am constantly rearranging them and creating new scenes. I normally have at least 5 completely different scenes going on at once.

So I have decided to make a small scene/scenario out of some of my mini figures, post a picture it on Friday, then you can decide what is going on the scene/scenario.

If someone asked you what is the Bible? what would you tell them?

I know that this might be hard to answer with out it sounding complicated but if you break it down (without losing its meaning) you can turn it into an acronym.

Earth

Doesn’t that make it sound easy to read? 😉

But that is what the Bible is. The Bible tells us how we should live our lives and glorify God in everything we do.

Sunday Devotional (31)

Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.
1 Peter 5:8‭-‬9 NASB

I find it comforting to know that I’m not alone in my suffering. And you are not alone in your suffering.

Over the past week I have felt like I am the only one who lives fearing/not knowing if the next time I check on my pets they will have passed away. But I trust God and even if I ever meet someone who has gone though the same thing, I know someone has felt the some thing I feel.

So please don’t get discourage, someone out there has felt like you do even if they don’t say they have. Trust God.

Sunday Devotional (30)

I have read/heard the account of Jesus calming the multiple times, I’m sure you have too.

Jesus spoke with parables often and his words often sound like riddles, Jesus calming the storm was not only about Him saving His disciples and showing them His power.

He was showing us that He will calm the storm in our lives and to not worry. He will take care of us.

Sunday Devotional (29)

On Tuesday the 3rd of December my Cockatiel, Cracker Jack passed away. My Mom posted on Facebook asking for prayers for me and Cracker. And people I have ever met were praying for me.

But no matter if what you are going through is big or small, “good” or “bad” WE are the BODY of Christ.

We aren’t meant to go through things alone.

Hebrews 4:16 NASB

I am currently reading the Left Behind series (if you haven’t read them you should, they are good) and in it a lady knows that she is a sinner and that only God can save her but she believes she is getting what she deserves. She is purposefully punishing herself and won’t except God.

Unlike her, some people don’t think God will forgive them. If you ever feel that way remember this verse.
